DESIGN OF TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY OF TRAMWAY LINES ROME CAPITAL PUMS - LOT 4 and LOT 5
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
VDP join with the grouping of SYSTRA SA, ARCHITECNA ENGINEERING S.r.l., GO-Mobility and POLEIS soc. coop. and led by SYSTRA-SOTECNI has received the assignment for the design of economic technical feasibility (PFTE) of the two largest lots, out of five, of the tender launched by Roma Servizi per la Mobilità:
• Lot 4: M2-15 “Linea tranviaria veloce Anagnina (MA)-Tor Vergata-Torre Angela” e M2-25 “Linea tranviaria Giardinetti-Tor Vergata-scambiatore A1 sud”;
• Lot 5: M2-28 “Tangenziale tranviaria Sud Marconi-Parco Appia Antica-Subaugusta”.
About 27,2 km of new centers on the total of 37,3 put up for tender: key works from the transport point in how much together they absorb a preliminary forecast of question pairs to 190.000 daily passengers on a total of 250.000 attended for the services previewed on all lots.
VDP will take care of the environmental aspects in all the various phases of the design.
SPECIFICITY OF THE STUDY
Lot 4 foresees two interventions in the eastern quadrant of the city aimed at improving the connections between the Città delle Torri’ (235,700 ab.), the university campus of Tor Vergata with the annexed polyclinic and the intermodal node of Anagnina. The new corridors to be designed are the completion of the Termini-lineTor Vergata and the new line H. For the line G it is about 3 km from the terminal of the first lot at the University Rectorate and the southern access of the Polyclinic towards the ‘Città della Conoscenza’ where will rise the new parking exchanger A1 South’ at the exit of Torrenova of the urban penetration of the A1 from Naples. Among the objectives of the design also the analysis of sustainability for future further development of the line towards Frascati.
The H line is the evolution of the light rail proposal Torre Angela - Anagnina as a metro line Tor Bella Monaca - Torre Angela - Policlinico - Anagnina integrated with the G line to create the possibility of establishing services on all four the guidelines. The new line measures about 10 km from Viale dell’Archeologia to Anagnina. The design will also cover the new storage, in first analysis located at the MC station of Torre Angela, sized for about 30 cars.
Lot 5 is the southern extension of the metro line “Togliatti” Ponte Mammolo - Piazza di Cinecittà. The project involves the construction of 14.8 km of new tram station from Piazza di Cinecittà to Trastevere station passing through the Appia Antica Park, Tor Marancia, Viale del Caravaggio, the intermodal junction of Basilica di San Paolo and Viale Marconi.
