Redevelopment plan of security barriers Ante DM 223/92

LOT 6 - Interventions of redevelopment of security barriers ante DM 223/92 bridge border for motorway section competence of direction Tronco di Bologna (DT3) e Udine (DT9)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The whole project refers to the structural surveys and test on the materials to execute in the planning field of requalification interventions of security barrier installed on top of the wall, located on the interconnection between the motorway A1 and motorway A13.
The requalification interventions is part of the activities about the Interventions of Redevelopment Bridge Border safety Barriers on the Highway Direction of Tronco di Bologna (DT3) and Udine (DT9) – Lot 6 competence, with reference to safety barriers installed before the entrance in force of DM 223/92 (“Technical instruction on the projection, approval and use of the street security barriers”) which features are described by «General Catalog of Security Barriers» of 1988 (c.d. “Catalogo Blu”).
The survey methodology is based on:
- Historical-critical analyses of the documents found as-built, with focus on morphology of infrastructure, structures, hydraulics and facilities;
- Topographic survey based on scanner laser reliefs of the platform and reliefs celemetric out of the platform;
- Investigation on the interfering structures with the interventions, based on georadar reliefs and destructive investigation and non destructive;
- surveys aimed at characterizing geotechnically the sites of installation of barriers where it is planned to extend the intervention to the areas of approach to viaducts;
- Environmental surveys aimed to characterized the excavation and demolition zone;
- a census of interference (aerial and underground) and installations along the route.

SPECIFICITY OF THE STUDY

The environmental investigations on the excavated materials, carried out in the design phase, are aimed at determining, in advance, the classification of the same for proper management in accordance with industry regulations.
Environmental surveys are carried out in close coordination with geognostic surveys, in order to optimize the costs of the entire geotechnical and environmental characterization campaign and speed up its execution. This operation ensures good quality of the sample taken and lower costs, as it does not require a new site installation for the sole collection of environmental sample from additional exploratory well and/or penetrometric/core drilling
