ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING DURING CONSTRUCTION WORK OF THE ANCONA VARIANT

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The intervention in exam develops in the SS16, from Km 290+400 al Km 297+300 about, and it foresees the adaption in the current single carriageway street platform , form a simple roadway for each direction of travel, to a type “B” street with roadways separated by a bollard with two roadways for each direction of travel. The project also affect the final stretch of SS76 of “Val d’Esino” from Km 73+300 to Km 74+300 and the junction of SS16 with the SS76 and with the SP4 located in Torrette di Ancona.

The project infrastructure take place in province of Ancora an it also affect the Falconara Marittima and Ancona town hall. The intervention, for the peculiarities described above, it’s called “Variante di Ancona” and it has a complex range of 7 Km about of double traced route.

Along the route is foreseen a realization of 4 viaducts and 2 new gallery, in part in nature and in part artificial. This works are all in correspondence of other existent work witch it foresees, in case of the viaducts, the partial reuse or the complete demolition and the replacement with new works.

SPECIFICITY OF THE STUDY

The activities of Environment Monitoring, as a designated monitor of INC SPA, has as objective to quantify how much the construction of the foreseen project generates impact on the ambient, trough a set of periodic readings, based on biological, chemical and physical parameters.
In the specific, the Environment Monitoring Plan in this case provide the study of the following Environment components:
• Atmosphere;
• Superficial water ;
• Underground water;
• Vegetation;
• Landscape;
• Ground;
• Noise;
• Vibration.
