Italferr Framework Agreement - Atmosphere monitoring of High Speed and normal railway lines

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Since 2007 VDP, within Stabile Eraclito Consortium (SGS Italia 51% - VDP 49%), has performed three Italferr framework contracts (from 2007 to 2011 and from December 2013 to June 2015) concerning the monitoring of High Speed (HS) and normal railway lines in Italy.
The total value of these contracts, regarding VDP share, amounted to 2.7 million euro.

In 2019 a new Framework contract has been awarded to the Consortium.

The several monitoring activities were required by public bodies and institutions in the context of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) to evaluate the pre-construction and post-construction situations with respect to the construction phase.
The measurements were carried out with mobile and stationary data-collector stations with the addition of traffic and meteorological surveys and forecasts.
The selection of air quality parameters was conducted following the provisions of Italian and European legislation.
