Environmental Services Framework Contract for Sogin Nuclear Power Plants

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In 2015, the temporary grouping of companies Ambiente s.c. – VDP S.r.l. won a bid for a two-year framework contract regarding environmental engineering services for Sogin Nuclear Power Plants in Italy.

The main contract activities are listed below:

  • Planning and preparation of studies concerning the environmental sector;
  • Evaluation of the technical and administrative procedures involving EIA and SEA procedures and environmental Legislation (D.Lgs. 152/2006 and subsequent modifications and additions);
  • Management of waste disposal, SISTRI system, excavated earth and rocks and drafting of land use plans;
  • Analysis and characterization of environmental components on the basis of monitoring data collected by Sogin;
  • Studies regarding the physical features of the atmosphere;
  • Analysis and evaluation of monitoring results;
  • Dispersion models of air pollutants from stationary and mobile sources;
  • Emissions measurements and electromagnetic field assessment;
  • Analysis of climatic and meteorological aspects;
  • Planning and preparation of studies concerning urban, architectural and landscape-related elements;
  • Territorial, environmental and urban planning and evaluation of constraints;
  • Landscape Inclusion Design;
  • Definition of mitigation measures able to reduce the plant visual impact: detailed reports, photographic surveys, maintenance plan;
  • Architectural projects;
  • Fauna, flora and vegetation studies;
  • Environmental Implication Assessment;
  • Data analysis pertaining to vegetation, flora and fauna monitoring;
  • Planning and preparation of studies regarding geological and geotechnical factors;
  • Pollutant dispersion models in groundwater, soil and subsoil;
  • Elaboration of site geological, hydrogeological and geotechnical models;
  • Geotechnical site investigation and assessment;
  • Geochemical data analysis;
  • Thematic mapping of the physical and environmental features of plant areas;
  • Siting procedures;
  • Environmental surveys.
