PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the acoustic impact generated by the installation of new plants in a central for separation of existing petroleum fuels.
The project of extension of the central, called T6, involves the installation of new machines in addition to or in place of the old ones.
The Obi obi plant is located in the Niger Delta in an area of about 630,000 square meters.
The plant operates 24 hours a day.
The torches, always active, which burn the gas resulting from the production process have considerable acoustic emission. The whole area is crossed by pipes, some of which transport gas at different pressures, resulting in different degrees of noise. Other elements of considerable noise are the separation units, coolers and turbochargers.
