DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
The expansion project of the third lane of the A14 motorway, called “Adriatic”, in the section between Rimini North and Pedaso (Rimini North – Catholic), is part of the Financial Plan of Autostrade SpA (main Italian private Highways Concessionaire), that aims at enhance the links between major motorways nationwide.
SPECIFICITY OF THE STUDY
The study was composed by a description and analysis of the environmental aspects involved. It also identified and estimated the potential changes induced by the intervention examined. From the analyses carried out on individual environmental components, using forecasting models, situations relevant for the definition of the relationship and interaction between work and environment have been identified and evaluated. Through a work of final synthesis, it was possible to identify graphically along the path a range of interferences, and to propose mitigation actions. The analysis of the project and the territory crossed, showed the categories of intervention that pursue the inclusion criteria. Particular attention was paid in waterways crossing points and residential settlements.
